Noma Bar

Noma Bar is an illustrator I researched for the 2 weeks I spent in the Visual Communication area at college. I really like Noma's work for it's focus on simplistic use of shape, and an incorporation of a detailed shape which until you look closely you do not realise it is anything in particular. For example, the image on the left includes an eye, which rather than a simple outline/block shape, is a hand which is related on a deeper level to the intended . I really like this clever twist as I enjoy realising something is more than it first appears.
